Objective:

The goal of this project was to create a vibrant and engaging visual identity for “Dizajnijada,” a student design festival hosted by the International Burch University (IBU). The design needed to align with IBU’s identity, evoke a sense of youthfulness, and appeal to university students while showcasing the creativity of the participants.

To establish a cohesive brand identity, I focused on incorporating IBU’s primary colors and a playful aesthetic that matched the festival’s theme. I used a bright and varied color palette to ensure that the visuals would stand out across different promotional materials, from posters and brochures to digital content.

Involvement

Approach

I opted for handwritten fonts with bold characteristics, enhancing the playful yet sophisticated tone of the festival. For key visuals, I illustrated diverse characters involved in various creative activities, emphasizing inclusivity and artistic expression. These characters were also featured on event merchandise, like T-shirts and mugs, further extending the brand’s reach.

The dark blue background provided strong contrast, making the colors pop and reinforcing the visual hierarchy. I created versatile graphic elements that could be used consistently across all mediums, from social media to printed advertisements, while maintaining high recognizability. The final design captured the festival’s essence—lively, inclusive, and creative.

I designed multiple posters, brochures, web banners, and social media graphics to ensure consistent branding. The marketing materials were tailored to promote various festival events, emphasizing core themes like creativity, collaboration, and student empowerment. Additionally, I applied the visual identity across various formats to maintain a cohesive experience for attendees, whether engaging in-person or digitally.

The Results

The concept received strong feedback for its style and cohesiveness. Although it wasn’t finalized for production due to time constraints and missing animation assets, the project stands as a polished example of event branding and expressive illustration work.

You should definitely sell this design to an art or creative festival, it is really visually strong.
