Overview
This cover was a huge milestone for me — my first official illustration for Zero Things and also my very first Webnovel cover. I stepped into it with zero real experience in background painting, so the entire piece became a crash course in lighting, composition, and atmosphere.
I wanted the artwork to immediately feel fast-paced and dramatic, so I pushed a dynamic perspective and framed the character reaching toward the viewer. Experimenting with forest environments was totally new territory for me, but it forced me to study how light filters through leaves, how shadows break across forms, and how colors shift in dense foliage.
