My Commission Process

My commission process is designed to be clear, collaborative, and flexible so clients always know what to expect at every stage. Whether you’re looking for anime-style character art, semi-realistic portraits, or full illustrations with mood and atmosphere, I tailor each step to match the style you choose.

Every artwork begins with communication — understanding your idea, references, mood, and the final purpose of the piece. From there, we move through sketches, refinement, and polishing until your character looks exactly the way you imagined (or better).

My goal is always the same: to capture personality, emotion, and storytelling through expressive art that feels alive.

I accept commissions through VGen, Fiverr, Upwork, or direct contact, and payment is handled securely via PayPal. You can choose either full upfront payment or a 50/50 split (half before work begins, half upon completion).

Refunds follow a stage-based system, reflecting the amount of work completed:

  • Sketch Phase (≈25–30%) — You may receive up to 70–75% refund.

  • Refinement Phase (≈50–60%) — Refunds decrease as more detailed work is completed.

  • Final Rendering (≈80–100%) — Refunds are typically not available at this stage.

The percentage of completion is determined at my discretion, based on the actual progress of the artwork. If you decide to stop the project early or if we mutually agree not to continue, the refund will reflect the stage the piece is in at that moment.

DON'Ts:

Sketches

This is where your idea comes to life for the first time.
I create rough sketches exploring pose, composition, and overall mood — usually a few variations so you can choose the direction you like best.
This stage is all about clarity and communication, making sure we’re aligned before I move into refinement.

Refining Phase

Once the sketch is approved, I move into a focused refinement stage. This phase looks different based on the style you select:

For Anime / Lineart-Based Styles:

You receive clean lineart + flat base colors, allowing you to clearly see design details, color choices, and overall readability.

For Semi-Realism / Digital Painting:

Instead of lineart, I develop a polished, more rendered sketch, blocking in lighting, shadows, and mood before committing to details.
Painterly styles rely on form, not linework — so the refinement here is more about structure and atmosphere.

Final Render Phase

This is the stage where everything comes together. I polish the artwork with lighting, texture, depth, atmosphere, and fine details that give the piece its emotional impact.

  • The number of revisions depends on your commission tier.

  • Major redesigns after the sketch phase may require additional payment.

  • You can choose between multiple styles: anime, chibi, semi-realistic, painterly, etc.
