Overview
This illustration set was created for a children’s book set in a bright, futuristic world. The story follows a curious young boy who dreams of adventure, sparked by his love for dinosaurs, science, and discovering the unknown.
I designed the main character from scratch, focusing on big expressive eyes, warm lighting, and a soft sci-fi atmosphere to capture that blend of innocence and curiosity. The holographic elements introduce the story’s tech-driven world, while the chibi proportions keep everything playful and inviting for young readers. I also had to do research on cultural clothing as my last task was to create a family photo with the boy and his african-descent family in it.
