This project centered on creating five cohesive illustrations for a “visual journal,” with three key characters from the unreleased novel The Shard of Reflections—Calen, his mother, and his father—alongside a separate piece portraying a real-life couple. The challenge was to maintain a consistent visual style across both fantasy and real-world subjects. Each character illustration captures unique traits: Calen’s intensity, his mother’s warmth, and his father’s stoic strength. Meanwhile, the couple’s illustration blends seamlessly, emphasizing soft romance with a consistent color palette and lighting. Overall, I succeeded in achieving a unified aesthetic across diverse subjects while preserving the individuality of each piece.
